Health One Global at the US National Games Health Symposium

3,000 Special Olympics athletes from every US State will meet in Nebraska in July 2010 for the Special Olympics US National Games.  Health One Global will be there in support of the event as the exclusive Special Olympics Healthy Athletes Global Partner for electronic health records and will as usual provide its Healthy Athletes Software (HAS) as a charitable contribution to Special Olympics.

At the US National games Special Olympics will be holding on July 17 a one day Health Symposium entitled Improving Health for People with Intellectual Disability- Policy, Practice and Potential.  Click here to see the full Programme.

The Symposium will be held at the prestigious Munro-Meyer Institute, a University Center of Excellence committed to unlocking the potential of children and adults with developmental disabilities and genetic disorders through exceptional patient care, education and research.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center's Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) is part of a national network of 67 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Services.

Dr. Stanley Shepherd, Chairman and Co-Founder of Health One Global has been invited to speak at the Symposium.

Post Symposium Session for the Athlete Personal Electronic Lifetime Health Record

In addition to inviting Dr Shepherd to speak at the Health Symposium, Health One Global has been invited to hold a Post Symposium Session to demonstrate the Athlete Personal Electronic Lifetime Health Record being developed by Special Olympics and Health One Global supported by grants from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) who are the lead Federal agency charged with improving the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care for all Americans.
